Raegan's 1st haircut

So Sam and I finally agreed to get Raegan's hair cut at the age of 3 1/2. She has had little curls in the back of her hair since she was born or actually since she has had hair and we didn't want to lose the curls. Sam is so cute because he is very sentimental about these things. So while visiting my sister-in-law in Charlotte I noticed a really cute salon went to a little place in Charlotte called Pigtails and Crewcuts. So along with Sam, his two sisters and mom, our neice and I we went in for the big cut. It was the cutest place and as you can see from the pictures below she got to chose her seat, an airplane. We had actually talked to her before we went in and she was very excited about getting it cut. But when she sat down she literally didn't have any emotion what so ever. She didn't talk or even make a facial expression. The salon had tv's on the wall playing "Up" which she loves but she just kept looking in the mirror taking everything in.  The lady who cut her hair was so nice and very sweet to Raegan. She tried to make conversation with Raegan but Raegan just wanted to watch what she was doing. When she was done cutting her hair she sprayed Raegan's hair with a shine that smelled like cupcakes and let her pick out a toy from the toy bucket. They also gave us a certificate that had the little curls that they cut off and a picture of Raegan and her new haircut. It was such a great experience and I feel sure Raegan will be fine to do it again.

First Dance Class

Today was Raegan's first day of dance at Forest Dance Academy!! She was so excited because she got to wear her white leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes. When we got there I was a little nervous because I wasn't sure how she would do but luckily we knew the assistant teacher and Raegan had her friend Maddie by her side. The class is 45 minutes long and unfortuantely we didn't get to watch so we had to sit in the waiting room. When the class was over Raegan came out of the room with a huge smile on her face and holding a lollipop so I knew it must have gone well. She looked at me and said "Mommy thanks for taking me, I had so much fun!!"

Here are just a few pics that I took before she went in the class!

Picking Apples

Raegan is really into picnics right now and has been asking for awhile to go on one. So last Saturday, Raegan got her wish and we decided to go. So we packed our lunch, packed the car with our very energetic black lab Roxy and headed to Crabtree Falls for a picnic. It was such a beautiful and perfect day for a picnic. After about an hour of driving we unfortuantely couldn't find a picnic area. Finally we just found a patch of grass that would work because we including the dog were getting a little hungry. On our way back from our picnic we saw a sign that said "Apples Pick u own". So we decided that we would check it out just to see what it was all about. When we arrived at Flippin-Seaman Apple orchard we were greeted by the nicest people. They explained that there were several kinds of apples and we could eat and try any of the apples. We decided to pick a 1/2 bushel of apples (which turns out to be a lot). Raegan had such a great time picking the apples. They told us that they will also have pumpkin picking in October along with a festival the 1st and 3rd Saturday.

First Blog

Well I have finally decided to start a blog. Sam and I are so extremely lucky to be raising our sweet and beautiful daughter Raegan Elizabeth. She is 3 1/2 and is a true blessing from God. He has blessed us so much over the last 4 years of marriage.
